Black People Forum has been online since 2018, but our mission is built for the constantly changing media landscape of today: deliver timely stories with perspective, personality, and a clear understanding of why they matter.

We don’t believe Black audiences are interested in only one kind of news.

Our readers follow elections and entertainment. They debate sports and politics. They celebrate achievements, follow cultural icons, discover new music, watch the biggest films and television shows, and pay attention to the events changing their communities and the world around them.

Why “Forum”?

The name Black People Forum reflects something fundamental about the publication.

News has never been only about what journalists publish.

It is also about what happens afterward — the conversations at home, at work, online, in barbershops and beauty salons, among friends, across generations, and throughout communities.

Those conversations often reveal as much about a story as the original headline.
