Tessa Thompson is joining the cast of Lady and the Tramp with Justin Theroux. The talented actress will voice Cocker Spaniel, and as for Jennifer Aniston‘s ex-husband, he will cover the Tramp.

Charlie Bean, who previously worked on The Lego Ninjago Movie, will serve as director of the project.

The remake of 1955’s Lady and the Tramp will debut on Disney’s digital streaming service that will launch in 2019. The cast will also include the amazing Kiersey Clemons, Ashley Jensen, and Benedict Wong.

The 34-year-old Los Angeles native is very busy lately and has movies lined up left and right. For example, she will appear in the Men in Black spinoff alongside Chris Hemsworth.

Moreover, she is in movie halls right now across the country with Sorry to Bother You. She signed on last week to appear in Passing, Rebecca Hall‘s directorial debut also starring Ruth Negga.

Hall said this about the upcoming feature, “I came across the novel at a time when I was trying to reckon creatively with some of my personal family history, and the mystery surrounding my bi-racial grandfather on my American mother’s side. In part, making this film is an exploration of that history, to which I’ve never really had access.”

When she is not working on films, she is at the theatre like she did in 2016 with the play, Smart People.

On the personal side, she has come out as a bisexual and is currently dating music sensation Janelle Monáe.
